Margaret E. Dubas

Margaret E. Dubas, 87, of Central City, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Central City Care Center in Central City. Funeral services will be Friday, March 14, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Clarks, Nebraska with Father Dick Whiteing and Deacon Don Placke officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 5 to 7 P.M. with a 7 P.M. Rosary all at the church. Wagner Funeral Home in Central City is assisting the family with the arrangements. She was born on July 9, 1926 in rural Marquette, NE to Andrew and Marie (Johannsen) Andersen. She grew up in the Marquette area and attended school there, graduating from Marquette High School. She was united in marriage to Bernard F. Dubas on June 21, 1958 at St. Mary’s in Aurora, Nebraska. The couple lived north of Central City on the family farm. Margaret was a nurse’s aide at the Fullerton Hospital. Margaret was baptized at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marquette, Kronborg, NE. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Clarks and then St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Central City. She served on the Altar Society at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing and making quilts and helping Bernard on the farm. She loved being a nurse’s aide and helping people. Survivors left to cherish her memory include a son, Andy Dubas of Central City, NE, three daughters and sons-in-law, Anna (Robert) Bialas of Grand Island, NE; Margaret (Patrick) Vigil of Commerce City, CO; and Teresa (Phil) Pisasale of Omaha, NE, seven grandchildren, Benjamin Bialas of Houston, TX; Bryan Bialas of Lincoln, NE; Victoria Bialas, of Omaha, NE; Joseph Vigil of Commerce City, CO; and Cara, Thomas and Gina Pisasale all of Omaha, NE, a sister, Agnes Huston of Murdock, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bernard Dubas, and three sisters, Ellen Friesen, Magda Friesen and Viola Krocker.
