Paul H. Schreiber, 88 of Central City, Nebraska died on Friday, November 4, 2016 at his home. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Bible Fellowship in Central City with Rev. John Prettyman officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, November 7th from 5-7 p.m. at Grace Bible Fellowship in Central City. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday Nov 8th at 2:30 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.soltwagnerfuneral.com. Paul Schreiber was born on September 28, 1928 in Columbus, Nebraska, to Emil and August (Koch) Schreiber. He was united in marriage to Ruby Grauerholz on February 19, 1950 at St. John’s Lutheran Church (Shell Creek) in Columbus, Nebraska. Paul was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church (Shell Creek), Columbus, Nebraska. He attended school at rural Platte County District 80 and graduated from Columbus High School. He then farmed with his father and neighbors and then became owner/operator of Nite and Day Café in Columbus with his mother. Paul and Ruby lived in Omaha, Nebraska where he worked with Nebraska Public Power, then went into sales with Swift and Company for 12 years. He worked at Montgomery Ward Store, and then Bonneville Homes in Aurora, Nebraska. He then went into motel sales and purchased motels in Yates Center, Kansas, then to Syracuse, Nebraska. In July 1995, they moved to Central City, Nebraska and joined Ross Realty in residential home sales. Paul loved watching sports, and following his grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in many activities and loved traveling and visiting family. His faith in God and his family were very important to him and he will be cherished with his good life-long memories. Survivors include wife, Ruby, of 66 years. Three children; Linda (Jim) Lukesh of Lincoln, NE, Deanna (Rick) Huggins of Plano, TX and Larry (Denise) Schreiber of Central City, NE, sister; Helen Lyles of Lincoln, NE, sister-in-law; Evelyn Levin of Kensington, KS, ten grandchildren; Elizabeth (Darren) Brickel, Jennifer (Justin) Kilzer, Barbara Lukesh, John (Amanda) Lukesh, Devin (Monica) Huggins, Patrick Huggins, Joshua (Chancey) Schreiber, Amy Schreiber, Andrew (Lydia) Schreiber and Tyler (Jena) Schreiber, and 16 great-grandchildren; Leah & Nick Kilzer, Lauren Brickel, William and Evie Lukesh, Shane McFarland and Sierra Huggins, Kaden, Gavin and Mackenzie Schreiber, Riley, Tucker, Mason and Oakley Schreiber, Collin and Maddox Schreiber, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by; his parents, brothers; Merlyn and Fred; sister-in-laws; Marilyn Schreiber and Irma Sheley, and brother-in-laws; CW Lyles, Arnold Levin and Don Sheley. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Nebraska Christian Schools, Grace Bible Church, Central City, Nebraska or My Possibilities (in c/o grandson, Patrick Huggins.)
