Jimmy Lee Carlson, 64, of York, died on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at his home in York. The family has decided to have a private family service at a later time. Jimmy was born on September 20, 1957 in Stromsburg, to Arnold and Betty (Dittmer) Carlson. He grew up in Clarks, and graduated from Clarks High School in 1974. Following his graduation he moved to Polk, where he was united in marriage to Ginny Miller on November 5, 1977 at the United Methodist Church. He made his home in rural Polk, where he farmed and raised hogs until 1995. He then moved into town where he worked for Harless Oil. In 2004, he moved to York, where he began working for Plains Power Equipment until 2018. In his free time, Jim enjoyed gardening. He was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Polk. Those left to cherish his memory are his mom; Betty Wyman of Osceola, his four sons; Adam (Caley) Carlson of Lincoln, Brad (Michelle) Carlson of York, Byron (Sara) Carlson of Polk, and Dustin (Jamie) Carlson of Lincoln, his brother; Joe (Christine) Carlson of Clarks, and his 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father; his brother; Jerry Carlson, and his step-dad; Bill Wyman.
