Leota G Hack Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Leota G. Hack, 87, of Central City, died Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Hamilton Manor in Aurora, Nebraska. Funeral services will be Monday, November 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Cooper officiating. Visitation will be Monday, November 7, 2016 from 10 a.m. to service time. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery. Leota was born on June 7, 1929 to William and Clara (Stephens) Mason in Arnold, Nebraska. She attended school in Arnold, Nebraska through 2nd grade; other schools attended were Mason City and Litchfield Schools. At age 12, her family moved from Arnold to Albion, Nebraska. Leota lived her teenage years in Fullerton and attended schools in Fullerton and Aurora, Nebraska. While living there, she met and married James Bahn on November 14, 1946. Leota moved to Central City in 1952. She worked at the Little Diner in Grand Island, the Cold Storage Plant in York, and Central City Cold Storage. She met Arden Hack in January 1958 and they were married on June 7, 1959 in the Christian Church in Central City. The couple lived all their married life in Central City. Arden died on October 12, 2005. Leota is survived by one son- Steve Hack of Jefferson, IA; two daughters- Brenda Hack of Grand Island, NE and Linda Sowder of Las Vegas, NV; one sister – Anna Rempel of Grand Island, NE; one step brother-Arthur; seven grandchildren – Anthony, Cindy and Carmon Day; Lynette Sowder; Clarissa Hack; Michael and Kyle Hack; and seven great-grandchildren – Amber, Johnny, Beth and Joe Day; Sheleena Day; Sophia Hack; and Alyssa Sowder. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter- Sharon Day; brothers- Donivan Mason and Roy Mason; and step brother- Fred.
