Mary E. Bedford, 64, of Lincoln, formerly of Deshler, Nebraska, died Monday, August 25, 2014 at Lincoln Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Cathedral Catholic Church in Grand Island with Father Richard Piontkowski and Deacon John Farlee officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, August 28, from 6-7 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Rosary also at the church. Burial will be in the Belvidere Cemetery near Belvidere, NE at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 29. Wagner Funeral Home in Central City is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mary was born on April 29, 1950 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Francis L. and Margaret E. (Gannon) Farlee. She grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1969. She was united in marriage to Ronald Reinke on March 21, 1970 in Grand Island. The couple lived in Grand Island, Hastings, and Superior Nebraska. She then married Henry W. “Bill” Bedford on June 6, 1980, and the couple made their home in Belvidere. Mary was a stay at home mother, taking care of her handicapped daughter Tina, but also worked for Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging. She loved to cook, read, and take care of her flower garden, and also made homemade wine. Survivors left to cherish her memory include her two sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Gwen Reinke of Columbus, NE; and Shawn Bedford of Bruning, NE, two daughters, Tina Reinke of Hebron, NE; and Krystal Bedford of Lincoln, NE, two grandchildren, Korben Reinke of Columbus, NE; and Izabella Garratt of Lincoln, NE, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Shirley Farlee of Grand Island, NE; and John and Bev Farlee of Grand Island, NE, a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Larry Dixon of Towanda, KS, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Bill Bedford.
